The Chalice Well at the foot of Glastonbury Tor is one of the best known holy wells in Britain. Joseph of Arimathea is said to have buried the cup which Jesus used at the Last Supper at the site. The water that flows at the well is sometimes called the ‘Blood Spring’ and its high iron content is said to have strength-boosting properties. A film made by BBC2 about Glastonbury Festival
I had a lovely day filming in the Abbey with the BBC and James Ballardie, for the Glastonbury Festival coverage. It's been over a decade since they have connected with the town, and that was a report on how terrible the new age travels were. It will be shown Friday or Saturday evening on BBC2 with the band coverage. Also featuring Jon Cousins. I hope it turns out nice.
