New Channel 5 series 'Walking Britain's Lost Railways'
Tor was asked to be part of a new Channel 5 programme called 'Walking Britain’s Lost Railways. The series of six one hour programmes will see popular channel 5 presenter Rob Bell follow the route of six railway lines that were closed in the 1960s. During his journey he will discover the history of the lines and the communities that sit alongside them as well as exploring the impact of the introduction and closure of the railways on local societies. Tor is part of a route from Burnham-on-Sea to Bath, where he talks about the resurgence in interest in Arthurian myth and legend during the Victorian period and how the railways helped to facilitate and encourage interest allowing people to travel to sites such as Glastonbury.
